Adopt-a-Street Clean-Up
Through our Adopt-A-Street Clean-Up initiative, the Florida A&M University National Alumni Association Broward County Chapter proudly demonstrates its commitment to community pride, environmental responsibility, and service. We have adopted a stretch of Sistrunk Boulevard, between NW 27th Avenue and NW 31st Street. Alumni volunteers regularly come together to maintain and beautify this corridor, creating a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for residents, businesses, and visitors. Together, we are not only cleaning streets, we are honoring history and strengthening the community we serve.
Freshmen Send-Off
The Freshman Send-Off is a signature community initiative, designed to celebrate, support, and prepare graduating high school seniors as they begin their college journey at Florida A&M University. This annual event brings together students, families, alumni, and community partners to provide encouragement, resources, and meaningful connections before students transition to campus life.
Thanksgiving Basket Drive
The Thanksgiving Basket Drive is an annual initiative of the Florida A&M University National Alumni Association Broward County Chapter focused on supporting families in need during the holiday season. Through the generosity of alumni, community members, and corporate partners, we provide Thanksgiving baskets filled with essential food items to help local families enjoy a warm and dignified holiday meal. This initiative offers compassion, service, and direct impact within the Broward County community. Together, we help ensure that gratitude and togetherness remain at the center of the season for those we serve.
Holiday Gift Giving
The Holiday Gift Giving initiative reflects our commitment to spreading joy, hope, and compassion during the holiday season. Through the collective support of alumni, community members, and sponsors, we provide gifts to children and families in need, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and celebrated during a meaningful time of year. This initiative offers generosity, community care, and lasting impact, while directly uplifting families throughout Broward County.
