About Us

For over six decades, the FAMU National Alumni Association Broward County Chapter has been a pillar of service providing scholarships in our community to deserving high school students attending FAMU.  As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to supporting Broward students attending Florida A&M University (FAMU) and promoting the University’s mission within our county.

Through scholarships and community service initiatives, we invest in the academic success of Broward students at FAMU and contribute to the betterment of our community.  Our commitment to excellence and service drives everything we do, as we continue to build a strong network of FAMU alumni and supporters in Broward County.

Our Mission

These four dynamic components are the heartbeat of our mission, ensuring that FAMU thrives for generations to come.

Fundraising: We actively engage in fundraising initiatives to support the University and bolster local chapter programs.

Recruitment: All alumni play a pivotal role in recruiting students to attend FAMU.

Image Building: Our chapter sponsors monthly community activities to shine a spotlight on FAMU in Broward.  By increasing visibility, we elevate awareness of our organization and its mission.

Government Relations: This component keeps us informed about issues impacting local and state laws, vital for the growth and development of key programs at FAMU.  Staying focused and involved in this aspect is imperative.
